Skywarn Training Scheduled!
I'm pleased to say that we now are on the schedule for NWS Skywarn training in Wood County and this year you will have 2 opportunities for you to attend the training. The reason for this is that we've arranged a daytime class to be convenient to the Wood County public service workers (police, fire, Sheriff's office) which will also be open to others for attendance and then we have an evening class scheduled as well for those of us who may not be able to attend during the day. The Wood County EMA office along with the Wood County Sheriff's office will be issuing a public notice concerning this training shortly as we will also be opening the training to the public. The plan is to better equip the public as well as our county public service personnel with the right training so they are better prepared for the upcoming severe weather season. More information on this will follow. Here are the planned dates:
Annual Evening Class: Monday, April 14th 6:30 p.m. at the Rossford Fire Department
Extra Daytime Class: Wednesday, March 19th 1:00 p.m. at the Wood County Sheriff's Office
