Two Important Events
Our help is required to help with communications for two important events coming up in Bowling Green. The first is the Wood County Fair, August 2nd through 8th. You’ll be contacted soon and asked to volunteer. If you want to volunteer before you’re called, just send me an email at k5eyp@buckeye-express.com .The Fair runs for a whole week, but I think our services will be most needed Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The second event is the National Tractor Pulling event taking place August 19th through the 21st. You’ll be contacted soon and asked to help out. Update: To answer a few questions: We will need 3 or 4 communication volunteers each day. You are not expected to work the entire day & evening. Please bring your handhelds for this task. If you do not possess a hand held, bring your 2/440 rig & 115V power supply.
We will be using a simplex frequency either on 2 or 440. I ask that you volunteer early and choose the best dates & times for yourself. Beginning July 20th, I will be making phone calls to each of you asking you to volunteer. -- de W8PSK
